The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) is indicated to reduce the appearance of skin blemishes and congestion. A high 10% concentration of this vitamin is supported in the formula by zinc salt of pyrrolidone carboxylic acid to balance visible aspects of sebum activity.

Contraindications: If topical Vitamin C is used as part of skincare, it should be applied at alternate times with this formula (ideally Vitamin C in the PM and this formula in the AM). Otherwise, Niacinamide can affect integrity of pure-form Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid).

Notes: While Niacinamide and Zinc PCA reduce the look of blemishes and balance visible sebum activity, neither is a treatment for acne. For persistent acne-related conditions, we recommend the use of Benzoyl Peroxide and/or Retinoic Acid. DECIEM doesn't recommend ongoing use of BHA such as Salicylic Acid for persistent blemishes. For temporary improvement in appearance of blemishes, Salicylic Acid would help. This formulation can be used alongside acne treatments if desired for added visible skin benefits.

Yes, except for products containing ascorbic acid, like Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%. If you use a product containing ascorbic acid, we recommend applying it at night and applying Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% in the morning.

The so-called "7 Skin Method" is a Korean beauty ritual, the basis of which being solely a toner or facial water.
The goal of the daily beauty routine is to provide the skin with intensive moisture and thus to achieve a plump, younger and healthier complexion.

• First, remove any make-up residues if needed and cleanse the face.
• The skin is then cleansed again with a cotton pad soaked with toner.
• As soon as the toner has been absorbed, the product is applied again. This time, however, using the hands and fingers to gently tap the toner into the skin. 
• For perfect results, repeat this last step up to 5 times.

If you are new to the Korean "7 Skin Method" we advise that you start with about 2-3 "layers" of the toner and only slowly increase in intensity. It is essential to understand what your skin requires. If the skin feels perfectly hydrated after 3 or 4 "layers" there is no reason to push through to 7 "layers". Moreover, the skin's needs could vary depending on the type of skin you have, weather conditions and the season. Apart from this, it is also possible to apply a moisturiser after the toner layering.

The most important thing to note when it comes to the "7 Skin Method", however, is the composition of the toner! The product should by no means contain any alcohol, as this would lead to intense dryness.
