I saw a video from youtube, its a Japanese Kid who love to eat. Their parents record a video, every time they eat and cook. Once i saw, they eat a grilled food with Kabocha Pumpkin. It look very delicious. And i found it on Super Market, but too bad, they sell in whole large pumpkin, which is make me think twice to buy, because i have no idea what should i cook with this Ingredient. Then,  the next day, in second week, i found they sell in quarter piece, and it is much cheaper compare to the larger size whole Pumpkin.

Suddenly the idea of making Pumpkin Soup was pop out on my mind. The recipe is very simple and easy to make. I search through the website and found the recipe which i modified a little bit. Some of them are using a Vegetable Broth, Double Cream and Onion.
But mine is very simple and the ingredients not too many.

Pumpkin Kabocha

I don't know why, the colour not that orange like i saw from the internet. But when it comes to boiled,  taste so sweet, similar like Sweet Potato. I think if i replace Pumpkin Kabocha for "Kolak" will taste great. Anyway i also found it on Fresh Market Pantai Indah Kapuk, but sell on the whole size.
The other idea of Kabocha Pumpkin, is Gnocchi (pasta from Potato, but here replaced with Pumpkin and form into dough with flour, egg and salt). The Sauce are so many choices, form White Sauce, Tomato Sauce even Pesto Sauce. Another key main ingredients beside Pumpkin, is Spinach mixed with Spinach, so the colour are green. Or even a Sweet Purple Potato, to give a vibrant colour.

Pumpkin Kabocha

Ingredients:
Pumpkin Kabocha
Salt
Black pepper
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Dried Parsley
Cinnamon
Water

How to Cook :
1. Boil the Pumpkin until soft.
2. Blend the pumpkin into Puree texture
3. Bring back to Boiling Pot, add a cup of water to lighten the soup
4. Season with Salt, Black Pepper, Cinnamon.
5. Serve in bowl and drizzle with EVOO
6. Sprinkle some Dried Parsley
